Welcome to Trinity Episcopal Church
in Wetumpka, Alabama.

Our ministry is Word, Sacrament and Community. We hear the Word of God read and preached and we are joined together in community by the sacrament of Holy Communion. Everything else flows from that. We see needs and we meet them. We ask for grace and prayers. We eat, we pray, we sing, we fall, we get up and we repeat. It is the Holy Spirit that fills us and guides us in all of this.

As a church, we have a strong desire to reach out with the love of Christ to one another and to the larger community around us. Please join us in worship, fellowship and service on Sundays at 8 a.m and 10:30 a.m.

Our Rector

Reverend Ally Perry

The Reverend Ally Perry was raised in Alexandria, Virginia and attended Yale Divinity School. She graduated from Yale in 1979 and was ordained by The Right Reverend Walter Righter in 1983.

Her first parish was Saint Anne’s by-the-Fields in Ankeny, Iowa. Under her leadership they built their first building, having met in rental space before it was completed. Saint Anne’s became a parish in 2003 and continues to add to the Diocese of Iowa. After serving there for 13 years, she moved to Jerusalem, Israel to study Hebrew for a year.

She returned to Dallas, Texas and served a mission church in Pottsboro, Texas. Under her leadership they, also, built their first building, having met in a doublewide trailer previously. She was trained as an Interim Priest and served as an interim in Miami, Oklahoma for 2 1⁄2 years. She was then called to be the Rector of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Sulphur, Louisiana for 6 years. She came to serve Trinity Episcopal Church in Wetumpka in 2023. Her hobbies include gardening and reading as well as modern Hebrew. She has escorted 4 trips to Israel and has gone there 3 times for extended periods to study on her own.

She is married to Lowry Perry, a retired Lighting Designer for film and television. Lowry plays guitar with the Christian Community Band in addition to helping at Trinity.
